Somewhere a long the line it seems gay porn ceased primarily being about an art form as freedom of expression deeming the physical body as something not shameful, yet worthy of glorification, only to segue into mostly smut for shock value sake.
Not that there’s anything wrong with shocking people, as we know many need to take the prudish stick out of their asses, but as CockyBoys continues to push the industry more and more towards putting art back into gay porn voices, it is clear “ANSWERED PRAYERS: THE REDEEMER” is more about art imitating life through the whimsical of fantasy, eroticism, mystery and melancholy at CockyBoys.
There’s a distinct homage to Shakespearean themes running through a great deal of “ANSWERED PRAYERS” given the character name of CockyBoys Exclusive Levi Karter, but overall, I feel there’s a sense of an anointing taking place with CockyBoys Exclusives Jake Bass & Max Ryder being the guiding dual presences elevating Karter to the next stage in their stead.
In past years, it was usual for the voyeur to find music concurrently running through the sexual storytelling as a backdrop for the visual, but how CockyBoys uses the symphony of orchestral works in tandem with its auteur oeuvre only serves to advance the portrait of anointed forces, both dark and light.
It would be a disservice to render “ANSWERED PRAYERS: THE REDEEMER” as just another long-winded hoity toity presentation from CockyBoys, as I fully believe Jaxson and his team have successfully reintroduced the fluidity of sex and art as one, not separate entities.
CockyBoys Exclusive Max Carter has somewhat of a rather ghostly presence linking the past with the present and future as if his character suggests the pathways for developmental changes not only at CockyBoys, but rather, the relentless catalyst for struggling internal powers to understand revolution as evolution.
International porn star Dean Monroe continues to add a wicked sensibility and devilish beguiled edge to the series as a whole and his presence really offers a great transition to the aforementioned dark, yet light segue to sex through his commanding British actor as self-assured agent of craft he brings to CockyBoys.
The crux of “ANSWERED PRAYERS: THE REDEEMER” seems to rest upon the end of the journey for one and the beginning of the path for the successor, all the while chronicling many of the similar themes we’ve borne witness to in previous installments from CockyBoys, such as free will, lust, love, pain, doubt, ecstasy & seduction in terms of how we internally sense of it all.
