Chad Fitch Gets Real

I recently had the opportunity to catch up with former twink model Chad Fitch who’d been a versatile fixture for over a year and a half or so as an exclusive model for San Diego based twink company Helix Studios. Here’s what the now retired model had to say about his tenure in the twink gay porn industry.

So what have you been doing with yourself since you’ve stopped modeling in twink porn?

I’ve been working creating a “normal” life for myself, I guess you could say. I’m actually woking on a huge project right now and relocating myself. I will be uprooting myself from Orlando, Florida and finding a new place for me and my lil puppy.

Why did you ultimately decide to leave the industry?

I was tired of the never-ending drama with the twinks who thought they ruled the world because they did porn. There are thousands of other people, so what makes you think you can be nasty and bitchy to everyone else? What it comes down to is manners. I’m really big on manners, so if you have poor mannerism, chances are we probably won’t click. I’m really easy to like and get along with but it’s just a pet peeve of mine. But you might see me in some new videos you never know.

What do you think of the new crop of twink models who’ve sprung up since your exit?

Quite honestly, I’m a little disappointed. I don’t watch twink porn. I’m into jocks, but from what I’ve seen on Twitter and other stuff, I’m not impressed at all.

Are there any scenes from your past work which make you particularly proud?

Probably my scene with Skyler Bleu. It was one of my first and I think I was a lot more into it back when I started. I think towards the end you could definitely tell in my performances I was not into it. I think it had a lot to do with my partners. I was not given a lot of good partners. There were some whom I enjoyed as people and were OK, but yeah.

Do you have any opinions on where you think the twink genre is headed?

Crashing and burning if they don’t do something soon! What I think most companies lack is a competitive nature. If you want the best, then you need to pay better, because you will most definitely be making a lot of them, so why not invest in a higher pay for them? That’s one of the reasons why I left. I felt I wasn’t getting the right amount of pay that I deserved, or even the communication. Communication was horrible. But what can you do? I feel that a company should be somewhat intimate with their models, not sexually, but friend-wise, like “how’ve you been?” [blah blah blah]. A small amount of kindness will go a long way. I guarantee it!

Were there ever any studios and/or performers that you wished you’d had the opportunity to film with before your exit?

It’s funny you ask that. I’ve always had the hots for Brent Everett and Marcus Mojo, so to be in a video with either of them would probably be the highlight of my career and would be my best performance!

If you could give advice to up and coming twink models what would you tell them?

Don’t be used! If you feel your being mistreated or underpaid, then bring that attention up with the director and/or owner of the company. There’s always something better out there. Trust me! Stand up for yourself and definitely do not have porn as your only income stream. You need to have a real job with a steady stream of income and the porn will be a nice burst of cash once in a while. I think that’s about it.
