“What began as a joke between friends became my reality almost overnight. I never set out to be a porn star, but here I am 10 years later, internationally known, having won awards for my work in-front-of and behind the camera, having starred in nearly 60 titles, not to mention countless magazines, books and web scenes. I’m not going to lie. Initially, the gay porn industry meant nothing more to me than a paycheck. However, over the course of my career, that meaning has developed into something much more genuine.

The gay porn industry superficially represents a lusting of man-over-man on a media platform. However, when you’ve lived and breathed the industry as long as I have, you come to find a deeper truth – it is a network that connects all gay men, not only for the purpose of sexual gratification, but also unity. The gay porn industry does not discriminate; in fact it embraces men of all shapes and sizes, ethnicities, fantasies and fetishes.

What other outlet can bring a man from a period where homosexuality was essentially outlawed in touch with a sexually liberated man of this era and enable the former to experience a type of gratification he could have only dreamed of in his time? By this, I am referring not to the actors such as myself, but the voyeurs.

The deeper I have delved into this industry, the more it has become clear to me what it’s really about. I have been touched by stories over the years from several fans expressing that if it weren’t for the work I do they may never have experienced true gratification, or really seen true gay love. In some cases, I believe that through media we can evoke emotions in the viewer that they may never have experienced otherwise. One does not have to live something for it to be real. Bottom line, the industry is a service, a service that provides sexual entertainment to those who need it. Furthermore, I believe it promotes sexual health not only physically but also for some, emotionally and mentally.”
